A Ta Dah Moment!

Remember these little Grannies??

Here is the little baby jacket that I made for my new niece. I loved making this and it looks so cute.... wouldn't you just want to cuddle someone wearing this?

You can find the tutorial here Bibliosophy Baby Granny Jacket

  1. That is absolutely gorgeous. I don't have any babies to crochet that for now, (and I hope I don't for quite some years) but I am going to store that tutorial away for the future.

  2. very cute! Mum is an ashford addict... she said she will e-mail me the directions to line it up... something about unscrewing something and tightening screws... I'll forward the e-mail to you, I'm sure I have your address, but will ask if I can't find it!

  4. Cut and pasted from mums e-mail for you Jenni...
To align the drive wheel and the flyer is not too challenging!

Remove the bobbin from the flyer and let the drive band fall off the drive wheel and flyer. Flick the hinged ‘mother-of-all” back away from the drive wheel and there are 2 screws underneath. Loosen those and close the mother-of-all. Replace the flyer and driveband. Gently adjust the mother-of-all (left or right) so it is in line with the drive wheel. When it is aligned, remove the driveband and open the mother-of-all and tighten the screws. Reassemble the wheel – flyer, driveband and bobbin and you are good to go.

I have been trying to get on to the Ashford website which will describe the parts, but the computer seems to stall when I ask it about ‘assembly’. Another good website is nzspinningwheels.co.nz

    Hope this helps
