It's Showtime!!

LOOK who kept us company at the Lake today at my fibrecrafters meeting!!!! He seemed quite happy up in the roof and wasn't bothered by all the attention he was getting....

It has been a hectic week. As usual all my planning has been left to the last minute and I have been rushing to get something together to enter in our local Agricultural Show. My Fibrecrafters group The 'Coffee Drop Crafters' are entering a number of exhibits and we will also be doing a spinning display over the 3 days of the Show.

So without further ado, here are my entries....

Lots of lovely photos so grab a cuppa and get comfy....

Aren't these the cutest little accessories!!

Pre Felted....

Stage 1.

20 mins later.... Felted!

Here he is 'Glastonbury Bunny' , requested by my friend Meg....

Crochet Sock Monkey....

A nifty bit of weaving....

Roving....

Plus some nice beads....

a bit of thinking outside the square as my wheel isn't able to load large objects onto the wool....

Beads and fish ready to ply with my homespun roving....
Here I will have to admit that I had to ply the two yarns together by hand! It was very time consuming and a lot looser than I would have liked but like I said before 'when needs must!'

Voila....'Seascape' a novelty yarn....
I am hoping to make this into a beanie before winter finishes???

Some upcycled scraps of fabric and trim....

a lampshade found at the Op Shop....

Very Retro....

And I couldn't resist showing a photo of my new horse! He was given to my husband (yes we can blame him this time!! ). His name is 'Tadpole' and he has bad feet at the moment. Nothing a bit of TLC and some time won't fix.

Did you notice the wallabys??

And finally this is Clover....

Cute as a button, and as round as one as well!! I am hoping that there is a little Clover growing in that huge belly as I have had Douglas the bull for over a year now....

I am still waiting.... I must be patient! Personally I think Clover needs to go on a diet before I will see any little Clovers running around, but I have been known to be wrong.... :-)

  1. Wow, you have been a busy woman. I love, love, love the bunny! His little accessories are the cutest. The yarn with the beads is very nice. Do you have an idea what you will make with it? How exciting to have a new horse - I don't know anything about them, but I think they are lovely. Hope your cow is pregnant and not just fluffy!! Have fun at the Ag. Show.

  4. What a lovely lot of deliciousness, in those photos. I love the bunny and the novelty yarn. Looking forward to seeing that made up. Clover is quite large isn't she. I don't think she looks very impressed that you have said she is round and has a huge belly!

  5. Wow, busy you! All I want to say is that I love Clover. Put a cow picture in your post at all and I will just skip over everything else (although I do like your lampshade...not as much as Clover though)
