Holiday Shawl Part 2

One of my good friends is moving down south so today I put the finishing touches on her going away present. She has just got a new phone and wanted a nice soft cover for it.

A bit of crochet, some felting in the machine and then some needle felting embelishment and Ta Dah....

I was tempted to keep this for myself as I was really happy with the finished deal but my friend really liked it as well, so it looks like I will have to make another one for myself!!

I am up to stage two of my Holiday Shawl....

Loving the colours and the fine sock yarn. I am usually a big yarn type of gal but this project has surprised me. I love how fine and soft this is turning out. Still a long way to go ....'Just keep Knitting, Just keep Knitting' :-)

  1. Oh Jenni! I want one for my iPod!!! It's so lovely, you're so clever, can you do a picture step by step thing showing us how you did the needle felting?
And your scarf is looking loverly.... what a mission!
Yes, you can do rib stitch cast on in the round (if you can knit in the round ha ha ha)
and YES Raymond spent the night outside but he has an outside bed and a few other homes he visits and I relly really really really needed to have a decent night's sleep, so don't make me feel guilty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ah

  5. That's too cute!

Your shawl is looking lovely. I really like Stephen West's designs and have some in my Ravelry queue. Looking forward to seeing how Daybreak works out for you.
