School Holiday Project

Yes I have finally got this one onto the needles.... Daybreak by Stephen West!

I wanted a project that was portable and easy, not too much thinking or too much complication which would lead to being easily miscounted. I don't really enjoy frogging my projects....

Look at the colours in this shawl, I love the drape and after seeing this one over on Knitabulous I decided it was time to give it a go myself.....

I'll keep you posted :-)

  1. It's gorgeous Jenni! Can't wait to see it as it progresses....
are you trying to inspire me to knit in the round?
    (it's working)

  2. Yummm, I love both the original and the the colours you are using. It's always nice to have something crafty that's portable.

  3. Love how you say "I wanted a project that was portable and easy" because my first thought when I saw it was "how does anyone knit in a circle".

The colours are lovely, and I'm sure this will look beautiful when you're done. Enjoy school holidays. One more week to go here.

  4. Great colours there........... look forward to seeing it finished.

  5. You guys and your huge projects. I'd be dead on the floor with little x-es for eyes after two days. You go, girl!

  6. Oh wow! It is gorgeous already. Gorgeous!
I love the idea of knitting a shawl but I'm hopeless at wearing them. Maybe I need to work on that.
I just realised that we never caught up while we were up north. What a bum! I was so looking forward to meeting you and your gang. Next year? I really hope so.

  7. I love that shawl, and not just 'cos I'm a sucker for a shawl! Mmm...portable and minimal risk of frogging, sounds like my kind of project. Nice one Jenni! That Knitabulous, she's such an enabler!

  8. Looks fabulous....are you going to have another give away??? I'm just asking.

Thanks for visiting my space and leaving a makes my day :-)
