My Creative Space

Todays Creative Space is for my SIL

She is away from home and family having tests in Brisbane which means lots of boring waiting around and resting.

I started this project to send her a bit of home everyday.
Most patterns have been taken from the brilliant book 100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet by Lesley Stanfield which Alice introduced us too....its a lovely book and has instructions as well as diagrams for crochet. I have been challenging myself to make the flowers from the diagrams. I have to admit I would be lost on some of them without the written instructions, but I'm getting there.

I hope you enjoy these as well....

A is for Aster....

I did put some little googly eyes on him and sew in the tail but this is the only photo I got.....

4 leaves for luck....

Lots of lying around....

Sashiko inspired....

If you don't know what this one means just ask me :-)

Another favourite flower....

Sorry taken late at night with bad light, but trust me it is pretty colours....

Check out who else is playing today over at Kirsty's

  4. Jen - your heart is just lovely. I want that book now, so I'll have to see if we have it stateside. But really - I love a series of small gifts - it shows so much love. So much meaning. I feel honored to know a woman like you - I just really do.

  10. they're lovely Jenni! I was wondering when you were going to show your flower creations! I've been making a couple too, so thought of you when I was hooking away! To the pattern NOT the diagram! I discovered from this book that diagrams are right handed so are the opposite to what I make!
What a lovely gift, you're FIGJAM for sure!
