"Yasi" is a yowser!

WE are on Cyclone alert and this one is a beauty!   Hold on to your hats and fasten your seatbelts we are in for a bumpy ride....Estimated to cross the coast at Cairns (we are 100km inland from Cairns) tomorrow night or early Thursday morning??

I'm off to rug the horses, bring inside the dogs and cats (Petal had 7 puppies this morning) and tie down anything that can be moved....

See you on the other side!  :-)

  9. We're sitting at Gin's dining room table wading through flight info - one of the largest storms on record is ripping through the middle of the US. Snow is falling sideways, even as we speak, and we're an hour from the airport. But the flight info won't come up - Southwest is off line. And the server for this service keeps going in and out. This should all be happening in Egypt - it might cool off some tempers. I wonder what the middle east would be like if they had winter?

Batten down your hatches. We'll be sub zero by tomorrow morning. Hang on to the animals, and bring in a good deal of wood. And if the winds hit, you take everybody into the bathroom and drag a mattress over you all. Get the kids into the bathtub.

It's like the planet has shifted slightly -

  15. Hi Jenni, I am thankful that you're all ok! I love your little yo-yo's, and am glad that at least in all of this you had some yarn with you...I guess it would almost qualify for an extreme knitting/crochet record ! :)
