Favourite Things Friday

Trying something new....

For a long time now I have been admiring quilts from afar but no more!  Hubby asked for a quilt and in my shock I actually went out and bought the fabric and a pattern, I guess that means that now I have to make one!!   Don't hold your breath though it will take me a while to get my head around it....

You know the drill  FTF      :-)

  3. I love that it was your hubby's request.
I can't wait to see you get started.
I've also got a pattern and a pile of fabric sitting here but nothing seems to be happening.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend Jenni. X

  4. Hope Hubby doesn't have to wait too long - maybe he could help you get your head around it.
Great that you get to try something new and you only need to make one to say you have done it.
    Enjoy the weekend

  5. Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you. If you're half as good at quilting as you are with some of your toys, it will turn out fabulous.

  6. how cool that he requested a quilt!

Can't wait to see it - will it be a lounge quilt? If so, you'll have to take a pic of it in use! :)

  7. Jenn - if you need any hints or directions, please let me know. I did that stuff for almost a decade before I walked away from my machine. There are easy ways of cutting things. I'd like to see that pattern.

  8. Squealing with excitement!! It will be wonderful! I can't wait to see it. HURRY UP! :D

Someday I'll get back to the world of quilting. I've decided I need a room for it though. Having to clean off my kitchen table every night and putting all the quilting stuff away everyday gets old real fast. I'm lazy that way.

  12. Gorgeous fabrics! I love the green one with the pink flowers!

And yes, the pattern was kiwiyarns but i did some extra shaping at the wrist to make them tighter, and graphed a simple diamond pattern down the middle, it's an awesome pattern, I plan to make some with a thumb before it gets cold!!!!!
