Favourite Things Friday

Hooray its Friday again....

This week I am joining in with Shay at Quilting in my Pyjamas for her Favourite Things Friday.  I don't join in every week because I sometimes lack the time to go and check out everyone else's Favourite Things but this week I have finished the bookwork so I can play all weekend on my computer....

This week is an extra special Favourite Thing.  A few years ago I was researching patterns for knitted toys and  I discovered this blog  Little Cotton Rabbits.  Lovely posts, beautiful photos, and the little Rabbits....

Well I fell in love!  Who woudn't?

Julie once commented on how 'knitting was her sanity' and I thought to myself, I used to knit all the time, why don't I now?  I picked up the needles again and the rest as they say is history.  So you can see for me Julie's blog and her friendship are very special.  I guess I see her as a mentor and an inspiration.  Through Julie's blog I have rediscovered the joy of creating.  I was introduced to blogland and have honed up my knitting skills, I have learnt to crochet, I started a blog of my own and best of all have met so many wonderful people who bring cheer and joy into my world.

Recently I was lucky enough to win a chance to purchase one of Julie's Little Cotton Rabbits....Oh JOY!   I have been trying for 2 1/2 years to purchase one of her rabbits.  They are absolutely divine and so the demand is high, it seems hundreds of people all over the world also love Little Cotton Rabbits.

Want to see her??

'Clover' arrived this week to come and live at my house, she is adorable....

How sweet is she!   Exquisitely knitted in a merino/angora blend and all her clothes are gorgeous cotton.  Look at her little shoes!

Everything about 'Clover' was divine.  The packaging (I didn't want to remove it),  the little cards, she was beautifully wrapped, and of course Clover herself....

This week I am one happy camper....

My Favourite thing this week is Julie .
Followed closely by 'Clover'because  to me they are one and the same, Clover will always remind me of Julie,

Thank you so much Julie for helping me rediscover my creativity and bringing such joy into my world.

  1. Jenni that is one of the cutest things I have seen. I can't get over how some one could knit something so tiny and fine. I have trouble with my huge bamboo scarf knittinbg needles. I can see why you are so inspired and little 'Clover'...adorable!

  2. arrwww Clover is gorgeous ! ..and so are you Jenni :D

  3. What a wonderful favourite things Friday - I can see why Julie and Clover are so special to you. Clover is gorgeous - so fluffy and sweet!

  4. Sweet. Great FTF post. Blogland is brilliant, and constantly inspiring people one way or the other.

  5. Aren´t blogland friends just the greatest? I get so much inspiration from all of you guys it is always wonderful. Clover is so sweet..and your post reminds me that I still have a sweater waiting to be finished...Thank you!

  6. This is such a lovely story! Hello Clover, you are such a cute little bunny!! That is some very fancy knitting! She looks like she's been made by fairies.

  7. Oh my she is soooooo cute. Love her outfit too. No wonder you couldn't resist, Clover is gorgeous. Julie is very talented.
    Love your FTF.

  8. SQUEAL!! She is soooo cute!! My favourite colour too. LOVE! How nice that Julie got you back into knitting :)

  9. Oh Jenni thanks so much for your lovely kind words, I think that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me x

I'm so pleased that you like Clover and it's very nice to think that I had a little part to play in your return to knitting and making things. I know my days would be a lot duller and less fulfilling without a daily dose of knitting and I hope it's the same for you and that making things brings you the same pleasure and happiness that it brings me. Thanks Jenni xxx

  10. Julie did basically the same thing for me. I'd already been blogging - words are my essential creativity and i'd been writing personal essays to a group of friends for a very long time. But I hadn't touched my knitting needles for almost thirty years when I found the rabbits - and I don't know how I did it = it was on Flickr. I saw them, and I sat down with my mouth open. Now I knit my own babies of different breeds and have been deeply happy doing it. But that's only a little side bar to just knowing Julie, who is one of the most brave, conscientious, loving, generous, honest-hearted people it's ever been my privilege to meet. Maybe she brought us together, Jenn! I think she actually might have. I was so excited when you won Clover. And you can tell how careful Julie is, how elegant, by the loving detail of even the packaging you uses to send. I want to be her when I grow up.

  11. What a cute bunny! I used to knit as well. Maybe I'll start again... :-)

  12. Clover is such a cutie. I can actually feel how excited you are in this post Jenni!

I think one of the best things about blogging is the people we meet and the inspiration they bring to our lives.

  13. Oh My I want my own clover NOW. she is adorable.
I hope she is very comfortable at your house.
    Thanks for sharing

  14. Isn't Clover just beautiful? I love the delicate, wispiness of her. She has found a good home methinks....

  15. This is why we all love blogging. It has introduced us all to so many people and things that enrich our lives.

  16. What a beautiful bunny to remind you of how much you love creativity. Lucky Lucy will have a new sister when she arrives home from her round the world trip!

Thanks for visiting my space and leaving a makes my day :-)
